10 Year Remembrance and Site Dedication
March 22, 2024
On behalf of the families, survivors, responders and community, please join us March 22, 2024 to recognize 10 years since the Oso Landslide and to dedicate a permanent memorial.

SCHEDULE
8:00 am - 9:50 am: Shuttles* to the memorial
10:00 am: Remembrance Ceremony**
11:00 am (approx) - 1:00 pm Shuttles back to parking
11:30 am: Site Dedication Ceremony
* Please note that shuttle time Miller Shingle to the memorial is approximately 10 minutes and shuttle time from Darrington is approximately 20 minutes. Shuttles from Darrington to the memorial will leave at 8:30 and 9:30. Shuttles from Miller Shingle will run continuously.
** Please allow sufficient time to shuttle to the site prior to the start of the ceremony
Parking
General Parking/Shuttle Pick Up (See times below): Parking will be available at the Whitehorse Trail Miller Shingle Trailhead and in Darrington, with shuttles provided to the memorial site.

ADA Parking: Limited spaces available at the memorial site, Steelhead Drive 28618 SR 530. ADA placard is required.

Shuttles From: 8:00 am - 9:50 am (circulating) Homage Shuttle Buses (ADA) and Arlington School Bus (9am). If the Miller Shingle Trailhead parking lot is filled, traffic will be directed to an alternate location.
Returning back from Oso Slide Memorial to Miller Shingle Trailhead parking lot:
11am – 2:00 pm (circulating) Homage Shuttle Buses and Arlington School Bus (til 1pm)

Pick Up: 8:30am and 9:30am – Darrington Rodeo Grounds (red canopy)
Drop Off: Est. 8:45am and 9:45am - Oso Memorial
Pick Up: 11:30am and 12:30pm - Oso Memorial (Blue canopy)
Drop Off: Est. 11:45am and 12:45pm - Darrington Rodeo Grounds
We encourage you to carpool and arrive early in order to allow time for shuttling and to visit the site prior to the ceremony.

Please be prepared for anticipated weather. Warm drinks will be available, but weather is typically rainy and cold for this gathering and limited cover is available.
Volunteer Work Party

A call for helping hands to beautify the memorial site. Please join Snohomish County Parks for a volunteer work party at the memorial site on September 25, 2021. Meet at the site 10am-Noon. Bring gloves and yard tools.

The Oso Slide Memorial Committee is hosted the PNW Paradise Ball and Auction on June 22, 2019 at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront Ballroom. Over $42,000 was raised at a fun night of entertainment and auctions.
